Reset a Task

Tasks are shared targets managed by the platform. Students do not have a manual stop or reset button.

When the platform schedules restoration, the Task displays a waiting period or countdown. You cannot start it during that period.

What changes

• The target machine’s internal state is lost.
• Files, shells, footholds and changes made in that Task disappear.
• Its address or operational state may change when restoration finishes.

What is preserved

• Already validated flags.
• Score and progress percentage.
• Enrollment data stored by the platform.

Caution

Save evidence and notes in SpartanOps or outside the lab. Do not use a Task as persistent storage.

When the countdown ends, refresh the panel and start the Task again. If it remains blocked, contact support with the Task name and a screenshot without flags.
